About my ceramics

My focus is to craft unique and sustainable objects in small series, that offer an opportunity to pause and appreciate the moment.

This means that:
  • I go through the world with my eyes wide open, and create with an appetite for experimentation
  • I always choose to have the smallest impact on our environment, and look for opportunities to restore our ecosystems
  • I offer durable and high quality products
  • I create objects that are affordable so that everyone has a chance to experience using handmade items
Picture of pottery tools. On the left are three ribs that help shape or smooth the clay. To their right is a wooden tool to shape feet. Next to that is a needle tool. Then to its right are several trimming tools that help refine the shape of clay once it has started drying
In practice, my ceramics are usually hand built (or occasionally thrown), and made of stoneware sourced in Aotearoa New Zealand, as much as possible. My pieces are fired at 1220°C to ensure they are safe to use with food, and durable. All are handcrafted in my home studio in Wellington.

I usually focus on functional pieces. This includes tableware such as cups, plates or mugs, but also homeware such as vases or wall decor. I also enjoy making jewellery and more specifically earrings.

If you would like to see what happens behind the scenes and connect with me, come have a look on
Instagram or Bluesky.
